お遍路で高知に立ち寄ったフランス紳士からの心温まるメッセージ

こんにちは〜
高知初のシェアハウス＆ゲストハウス LuLuLu スタッフのジョーです！

今回ご紹介するのは、ルルルに泊まりに来てくれた、とっても素敵なフランス人お遍路さん・ロイックさんのお話。

年齢はなんと70歳を超えてるそうなんですが、すごく元気でチャーミング！
翻訳機を使って会話しながら、日本文化や芸術への想いをたくさん話してくれました。

好きなアーティストは、なんとあの宮崎駿と黒澤明！

そのお話を聞いて、「最近はやりのジブリ風イラストに挑戦！」、スタッフのゆりとの記念写真をもとに、ジブリ風に仕上げてみました👇

A French Pilgrim, a Ghibli Makeover, and a Message Full of Heart

Hi there!
This is Joe, staff at LuLuLu Guesthouse in sunny Kochi, Japan!

Let me tell you about one of the most charming guests we’ve had recently — Loïc, a pilgrim from France in his 70s who dropped by LuLuLu during his Shikoku journey.

Even though we chatted through a translation app, his love for Japanese culture and art came across loud and clear.
He told us his favorite artists are… Hayao Miyazaki and Akira Kurosawa! Respect!

And then we looked at the photo he took with our staff Yuri... and couldn’t help but notice:

Wait a sec… doesn’t Loïc totally look like Hayao Miyazaki!? 😂

So, naturally, we had to try turning it into a Ghibli-style illustration. Here's how it turned out:
