【高知にセブンがやってきた！】バーキンセヴン(南アフリカ)がLuLuLuに登場！

先日、ルルルの駐車場に登場したのは、なんとあの名車「バーキンセヴン(南アフリカ」！
車好きなら一度は憧れる、まさに“公道のゴーカート”がルルルにやってきました。

「バーキン・セヴン」は、1957年に登場したイギリスの名車「ロータス・セブン」の設計思想を受け継ぎ、南アフリカのバーキン社が忠実に再現したスポーツカー。
超軽量・超シンプルで、“公道のゴーカート”とも称される走りが魅力です。

今回ルルルに宿泊されたのは、高知で行われるセブン愛好家の集まりに参加されるゲストさん。
その前泊としてルルルを選んでくださいました。

到着と同時にスタッフもゲストも大注目！
そしてありがたいことに、試乗までさせてもらえることに！

ですが…
このセブン、乗るのがなかなか難しい！
足を前にぐっと伸ばしながら乗り込むスタイルで、かなりアクロバティック。笑

夜にはちょっとした撮影会に。
スタッフも他のゲストも、レーサー気分で大はしゃぎ！

🚗 A Caterham Seven Rolled into LuLuLu!

Hi there! I'm Joe, staff at LuLuLu – Kochi’s first share house & guesthouse.

Recently, we had a very special visitor at our parking lot — the legendary Caterham Seven!
It’s one of those dream machines for car lovers. A true “go-kart for the street” came to LuLuLu!

Originally designed as the Lotus Seven back in 1957, the car is now built by the UK-based Caterham company.
It’s ultra-lightweight and stripped down to the essentials — built purely for the thrill of driving.

Weighing just around 500kg, this car is lightning-fast and offers an unmatched connection between driver and machine.
With minimal features and maximum fun, it’s no exaggeration to call it a “pure driving machine.”

Our guest, who came to attend a Caterham Seven enthusiasts' event in Kochi, chose to stay with us the night before the big day.
Naturally, both staff and guests were buzzing with excitement the moment it arrived!

We were lucky enough to get a test ride, too!
Although… getting in was a whole challenge. 😂
You have to stretch your legs forward and kind of “slide in” — it’s like a yoga pose on wheels!

Later in the evening, we held a mini photoshoot in the parking area.
Staff and guests alike had a blast playing racer for a night!
