【高知の夏の風物詩「輪抜けさま」へ！ルルルから徒歩圏内の石立神社で無病息災を祈願】

6月30日といえば、高知の夏を告げる伝統行事「輪抜けさま」。
無病息災を願って茅の輪をくぐるこの神事、今年も高知市内の各神社で開催されます。

なかでも、LuLuLuから最も近いのが「石立八幡宮（石立神社）」！
徒歩でもアクセスできるため、ルルル宿泊者さんにはぜひ訪れていただきたいスポットです。

🌿 輪抜けさまとは？
輪抜けさまは「夏越の祓（なごしのはらえ）」とも呼ばれ、
神社に設置された茅（ち）の輪を八の字を描くように3回くぐり抜けることで、
無病息災や厄除けを願う行事です。

高知では特に「わぬけ様」として親しまれており、
夏の訪れを告げる風物詩として多くの人が参拝に訪れます。

🔄 茅の輪の正しいくぐり方（作法）

正面で一礼
左足から踏み出し 左回りに1回くぐる
次に右足から 右回りに1回くぐる
最後にもう一度左回りでくぐり、正面に戻って一礼

これで**「左・右・左」と八の字を描くように3回**くぐったことになります。
「蘇民将来の子孫なり」と心の中で唱えるとより丁寧です。

⛩ 石立八幡宮とは？
高知市石立町に鎮座する、由緒ある神社。
宇佐八幡宮から勧請されたと伝わり、**応神天皇（品陀和気命）**を主祭神としています。

長宗我部元親が高知城の裏鬼門を護る神社として崇敬した歴史もあり、
木々に囲まれた静かな参道と木造の拝殿が印象的なスポットです。

2025年も例年通り、**6月30日（月）**に茅の輪くぐりの神事が行われる予定です。

【Start Your Summer Fresh with Wanu-ke-sama – Just a Short Walk from LuLuLu at Ishitate Shrine】

Hello! I’m Jo from LuLuLu, the first share house & guesthouse in Kochi.
On June 30, Kochi celebrates the arrival of summer with a unique and spiritual tradition called Wanu-ke-sama, or the Nagoshi-no-Harae purification ritual.

And lucky for our guests — the Ishitate Hachimangu Shrine is just a short walk from LuLuLu!

🌿 What is Wanu-ke-sama?
Wanu-ke-sama is a traditional Shinto ritual held at the halfway point of the year, meant to cleanse away bad luck, misfortune, and illness from the past six months.
People pass through a giant grass ring called a chinowa three times in a figure-eight pattern to pray for good health and protection.

In Kochi, it’s known affectionately as "Wanu-ke-sama" and marks the true start of summer.

🔄 How to Walk Through the Chinowa (Grass Ring)

Bow once in front of the ring
Step with your left foot and walk around the ring to the left (first loop)
Step with your right foot and walk to the right (second loop)
Finally, go left again (third loop) and return to the front, bow once more

This “left → right → left” figure-eight path completes the ritual.
Some people also whisper: “I am a descendant of Somin Shorai” — an ancient protective charm phrase.

⛩ About Ishitate Hachimangu Shrine
Located in Ishitate Town, this historic shrine enshrines Emperor Ojin (Hondawake-no-Mikoto).
It’s known as a spiritual protector of Kochi Castle's unlucky direction, and was revered by both Chosokabe Motochika and the Yamauchi clan.

The shrine sits quietly atop a gentle slope, surrounded by trees. It features a wooden main hall, sacred water basin, and smaller shrines — a perfect place for a peaceful visit.

This year’s event will be held as usual on Monday, June 30.
During this period, you may also receive a limited-edition Goshuin (shrine stamp) and enjoy local food stalls set up in the precincts.
