今回は、夏の終わりにぴったりなイベント「四万十川まつり」をご紹介します！

四国旅行のラストを飾るのにも最高なこのお祭り。
川・グルメ・花火の三拍子そろった贅沢な1日を一緒に覗いてみませんか？

■ 四万十川まつりとは？

四万十市中村で毎年夏に開催される、地元っ子にも愛されているビッグイベント！
今年（2025年）は【8月17日（土）開催／13:00〜21:00】が予定されています☀️

メイン会場は、四万十市役所前の赤鉄橋（中村大橋）下 河川敷一帯。
「最後の清流」と称される四万十川を舞台に、音楽ステージや屋台、体験ブースがずらりと並びます。

🌸 1. リバーフロントの花火大会（20:00〜）

夏の夜空に打ち上がる約5,000発の花火は圧巻！
川面に映る光と音のコラボレーションは「生で見る価値アリ」です🎆

🍢 2. 地元グルメ＆屋台天国

清流で育った天然うなぎの串焼きや、しまんとポーク串、四万十川の幸が味わえるブースが充実！
ビール片手に川沿いでのんびりできる、至福の空間が広がります。

🛶 3. カヌー・SUP体験（13:00〜16:00）

初心者もOK！
予約不要で、川遊びデビューにぴったりなアクティビティ。暑さも吹き飛ぶ爽快感を体験できますよ♪

■ 注意点とアクセス情報🚗

▶ 交通規制に注意！

当日は会場周辺で一部交通規制が実施されます。
できるだけ早めの到着をおすすめします。

▶ 駐車場は？

臨時駐車場あり。ただし、会場まで徒歩10〜15分の場所になることもあるので、歩きやすい靴を。

▶ 高知市内からのアクセス

• 【車】約2時間（高知自動車道 経由）
• 【JR】高知駅 → 中村駅（特急で約2時間）＋ 徒歩またはバス10分程度
  ※花火後は駅も道路も混雑必至なので、余裕を持った移動を！

■ おすすめコーデと持ち物👘🎒

• 日中：半袖＋日焼け対策を忘れずに！
• 夜：羽織があると◎（川沿いは涼しいです）
• 必需品：レジャーシート、虫よけ、モバイルバッテリー、現金少々（屋台は現金のみが多い）

This time, we would like to introduce the Shimanto River Festival, an event that is perfect for the end of summer!

This festival is the perfect way to end your trip to Shikoku.

Why not join us for a luxurious day that combines rivers, gourmet food, and fireworks?

■ What is the Shimanto River Festival?

This is a big event held every summer in Nakamura, Shimanto City, and is loved by the locals!

This year (2025), it is scheduled to be held on Saturday, August 17, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.☀️

The main venue is the riverbed area under the Akagane Bridge (Nakamura Ohashi Bridge) in front of the Shimanto City Hall.

With the Shimanto River, known as the “last clear stream,” as the backdrop, there will be music stages, food stalls, and experience booths lined up.

■ Highlights! 💡

🌸 1. Riverfront Fireworks Display (8:00 PM onwards)

The approximately 5,000 fireworks lighting up the summer night sky are breathtaking!

The collaboration of light and sound reflected on the river surface is definitely worth seeing in person! 🎆

🍢 2. Local cuisine & food stall paradise

Enjoy grilled skewers of natural eel raised in the clear stream, Shimanto pork skewers, and other delicacies from the Shimanto River!

Relax along the river with a beer in hand and enjoy the blissful atmosphere.

🛶 3. Canoeing & SUP experience (1:00 PM to 4:00 PM)

Beginners are welcome!

No reservation required—this activity is perfect for your first time on the river. Experience the refreshing thrill that will make the heat disappear! ♪

■ Important Notes and Access Information 🚗

▶ Be mindful of traffic restrictions!

Some traffic restrictions will be in place around the venue on the day of the event.

We recommend arriving early.

▶ Parking?

Temporary parking is available. However, it may be a 10–15 minute walk to the venue, so wear comfortable shoes.

▶ Access from Kochi City

【Car】Approximately 2 hours (via Kochi Expressway)

【JR】Kochi Station → Nakamura Station (approximately 2 hours by express train) + 10 minutes on foot or by bus

※The station and roads will be crowded after the fireworks, so allow plenty of time for your journey!

■ Recommended outfits and items to bring 👘🎒

Daytime: Short sleeves + don't forget sun protection!

Nighttime: A light jacket is recommended (it can get cool along the river)

Essentials: Picnic blanket, insect repellent, mobile battery, some cash (most food stalls only accept cash)
